First Generation
1. Janet BOAG was born on 7 Jan 1911 at 33 Rosehall Street, Glasgow.
Second Generation
2. Kenneth (Boag) BOGIE was born on 9 May 1861 in Hillyland Farm, Tibbermore, Perth. In 1881 he was a farm servant living at Weem Hotel, Weem, Perth. He lived in Coachman, 29 Woodlands Road, Glasgow in 1888. By 30 Nov 1888, when he married his first wife Elizabeth Henderson Sim, he was a coachman. There were 4 children of this marriage (Kenneth, Euphemia, Elizabeth and Charles). Kenneth had been present at his first wife’s death in November 1901 (she left £100 in a savings account in Perth). Now working as a coachman at Aikenhead House (owned by Lieutenant Colonel Henry Erskine Gordon), Kenneth was now living at The Stables, Aikenhead, Cathcart, Lanarkshire.
On 28 April 1905 he married Mary Miller who was working as a housekeeper at the same location. He died of Bronchitis(2 months), Myocarditis d. Endocarditis on 12 April 1937 at 63 Possil Street, Glasgow. He had been living at 33 Rosehall Street, Glasgow whilst working as a motor hirers clerk.
On the night 1891 census he was at Brigland Castle, away from home, having a drink with a fellow coachman.
Family History according to Annie Boag has him working as a chauffeur for Sir Thomas Lipton.

3. Mary MILLER was born in 1874. In 1905 she was a housekeeper at Aikenhead House, living at The Stables, Aikenhead. At the time of her death in April 1947 she was living at 33 Rosehall Street, Glasgow.. The cause of death was given as congestive cardiac failure, varicose ulceration of right leg in 133 Balornock Road, Glasgow. Kenneth (boag) BOGIE and Mary MILLER had the following children:

Third Generation
4. William (William Boag) BOGIE was born in 1832 in Dunning, Perthshire. In 1851 he was a weaver, living at 9 Granco Place, Dunning, Perthshire. By the time of his marriage to Ann McDiarmid on 26 Nov 1858 at Cherry Bank, Perth, he was a ploughman. For the next 13 years, at least, he remained either a ploughman or agricultural labourer. By 1881 he was a General Labourer, thereafter becoming a road surfaceman for the rest of his working life. After his marriage he lived with his family at a variety of addresses in and around Dunning, Perthshire - Hillyland Farm, Tibbermore (1861), Chaplebank Cottage, Findo Gask(1871), Balgour Cottage, Dunning(1881), Upper Granco Street, Dunning(1891 & 1901). He died Aortic Vascular Disease, Cardiac Failure on 30 Jan 1915 in Perth Road, Dunning, Perthshire, aged 82. At sometime after 1861, he and some of his family began using the surname Bogie, but I have no idea why or why on some official documents they are shown as Boag whilst on others as Bogie .
5. Ann (Ann MacDermaid) MCDIARMID was born on 14 Dec 1834 in Boleskine, Invernessshire. At the time of her marriage she was a Farm Servant. She died of Chronic Nephritis on 19 Dec 1894 in Dunning. Perthshire. William (William Boag) BOGIE and Ann (Ann MacDermaid) MCDIARMID had the following children:
i. Peter BOAG, born on 6 Apr 1860 in Cherry Bank, Perth. In the 1881 census he was a farm servant living at Wester Rhynd Farm Bothy, Rhynd, Perth. By 17 Dec 1886 he was a railway servant in Glasgow, becoming a passenger train shunter by 1891 living at 52 Bridge Street, Govan, Glasgow. By 1901 he was back working on the land as a dairyman on his own account, living at 5 Mid Shore Road, Newburgh, East Fife.
2 ii. Kenneth (Boag) BOGIE.
iii. Margaret BOAG was born in 1863 in Forteviot, Perthshire. According to the 1881 census she was visiting her parents at Balgour Cottage, Dunning, Perth.
iv. Christina BOAG was born in 1865 in Findo Gask, Perthshire. On 12 Feb 1892 she was a Domestic Servant.
v. Jane BOAG was born in 1867 in Dunning, Perthshire. In 1901 she was a Domestic Housekeeper living with her father at Upper Granco Street, Dunning, Perthshire - I’m not sure if this meant she was housekeeping for her father or she was working for somebody else but still living at home. She died of chronic nephritis on 7 May 1945 in Dunning. Perthshire, at which time she had been performing “household duties” at Ormlie, West End, Dunning. On her death certificate her name is given as Jane McDougall Boag.
vi. William BOAG, born 1869 in Findo Gask, Perthshire.
vii. Annie BOAG was born in 1872 in Findo Gask, Perthshire. In 1891 & 1901 she was a Dressmaker working at home on own account, living with her parents at Upper Granco Street, Dunning, Perthshire in 1901. She was present at death of her father, William Boag/Bogie.
6. In 1905 Robert MILLER was a Soft Goods Warehouseman. He died before 1947.
7. Mary PARKER died before 1947. Robert MILLER and Mary PARKER had the following children:

Fourth Generation
8. Peter BOAG was born on 14 Dec 1803 in Auchterarder, Perthshire (baptised on 25 Dec 1803). In 1841 he was a Labourer living in Commercial Street, Dunning, Perthshire. He spent his working life as either and agricultural labourer or a road labourer, living at various addresses in Dunning - 9 Granco Place(1851), 69 Dalreoch Road(1861), 4 Auchterarder Road(1871). He died Disease of heart (2 years), Bronchitis(4 days) on 4 Oct 1879 in Newtown of Pitcaines, Dunning, Perthshire. As yet I have been unable to find any record Peter BOAG and Margaret MILLER’s marriage.
9. Margaret MILLER died before 1851. Peter BOAG and Margaret MILLER had the following children:
4 i. William (William Boag) BOGIE.
ii. Margaret BOAG was born about 1831 in Dunning, Perthshire. She worked as a weaver, cotton weaver, and handloom weaver, living with her father until his death. After that she lived in Kinross Road, Dunning, Perthshire until after 1891, whilst working as a Hand Woollen Weaver. She was present at death of father Peter Boag.
Margaret’s “grandson”, John Crichton, was living with her at the time of the 1881 & 1891 censuses.
iii. Christina BOAG was born about 1836 in Dunning, Perthshire. She worked as a weaver, cotton weaver, and handloom weaver whilst living with her father until his death. She died of a Cerebral Haemorrhage on 18 Mar 1926 in Newtown of Pitcairnes, Dunning, Perthshire.
10. Kenneth MACDIARMID was born about 1802. On 1 Jun 1826 he was a Road Contractor. On 26 Nov 1858 he was a Road Contractor. He died on 24 Jan 1862 in Perth. Perthshire. Kenneth MACDIARMID and Margaret BEATON were married on 1 Jun 1826 in Boleskine, Inverness. I wonder if he has any connection with the modern day company of road contractors of the same name?
11. Margaret BEATON was born on 10 Dec 1805 in Petty, Inverness. She lived in Upper Granco Street, Dunning, Perthshire in 1891. She died of Senile Decay on 6 Mar 1893 in Dunning. Perthshire. Kenneth MACDIARMID and Margaret BEATON had the following children:

ii. Christiana MCDIARMID was born on 14 Dec 1834 in Boleskine, Invernessshire. Twin with Annie
iii. Duncan MCDIARMID was born in 1832 in Boleskine, Invernessshire.
iv. Isabella MCDIARMID was born in 1828 in Boleskine, Invernessshire.
v. Kenneth MCDIARMID was born about 1830 in Boleskine, Invernessshire. He died of consumption about 1850.
Fifth Generation
16. William BOAG was born on 16 January 1784 in Dunning, Perthshire. In 1841 he was a Labourer. living in Commercial Street, Dunning, Perthshire in 1841. In 1851 he was an Agricultural Labourernow living at 27 Auchterarder Road, Dunning, Perthshire in 1851. Commercial Street changed its name to Auchterarder Road sometime between 1841 and 1855, so these may in fact be the same address. He died of dropsy on 23 May 1860 in Dunning, Perthshire, at which time he was a Poultry Merchant.
17. Margaret DEWAR was born about 1781. She died before 1852. William BOAG and Margaret DEWAR had the following children:
i. William BOAG was christened on 27 Jun 1801 in Dunning, Perthshire. He was born in 1801 in Dunning, Perthshire. This William’s son, also William Boag, emigrated to New Zealand in 1851, returned in 1856 to take his parents and some members of his family back to New Zealand.

iii. Ann BOAG was born about 1821 in Dunning, Perthshire.
iv. Ruthven BOAG was born about 1821 in Dunning, Perthshire. In 1841 he was an Agricultural Labourer. He lived in Mosshead, Dunning, Perthshire in 1841. In 1851 he was a Weaver.

23. Margaret CLARK was born. Duncan BEATON and Margaret CLARK had the following children:

Sixth Generation
32. William BOAG was born on 15 May 1754 in Dunning, Perthshire. On 23 April 1775 he married Janet Henderson in St. Serfs church, Dunning, Perthshire. He is believed to have worked as a Carter. He died on 8 December 1835 in Dunning
33. Janet Henderson was born around 1755. William BOAG and Janet Henderson had the following children:
i. Janet Boag, born 2 Apr 1779.
ii. Isabel Boag, born 20 Nov 1781.
